GPSS IS HERE FOR YOU

Since 1971, GPSS has served as the official student government of all graduate and professional students at Yale. In 1972,  GPSS was incorporated as a 501(c)(7) to serve the needs of graduate and professional students at Yale. Today, the Senate has 7 Standing Committees that meet frequently to develop programming and coordinate advocacy for G&P students.

We influence the policy, culture, and views of Yale University leadership by expressing the views of the Graduate and Professional (G&P) student body and by issuing statements of our position to the media and administration.

The Senate hosts bi-weekly meetings in Gryphon’s Pub, located at 204 York Street. 204 York St. is a center dedicated to graduate and professional student use. Formerly called GPSCY, short for Graduate-Professional Student Center at Yale, it was renamed in Spring 2019 to The Gryphon or "Gryphon’s.” The Gryphon is home to a pub, event space, and Graduate and Professional Student Senate chambers. GPSS and Gryphon’s Pub are the same 501(c)(7) entity.

Our meetings are open to all G&P students and alumni - visit us!

While Gryphon’s Pub is under construction, meetings have been taking place in Room 351 of the Loria Center at 180-190 York Street.
